The Maroon & Gold posted its third and fourth consecutive wins, defeating Rider, 2-1, and Loyola (Md.), 3-2, both on the road.
Maganto recorded four points on one goal and two assists to power Iona toward its first victory at Loyola since 2001. The Spanish native got the Gaels off to a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 12th minute, and assisted on each of Iona's two following goals including the 82nd minute game-winner. Maganto averaged four shots per game over two contests with two shots on goal at Rider two days prior.
The Gaels continue MAAC action hosting Niagara on Oct. 7 and Canisius on Oct. 9.
