NAIA announces new championship dates
August 21, 2020
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced rescheduled dates for the 2020 fall championships including men’s and women’s soccer seasons. The women’s championship will be held in Foley, Alabama from April 27-May 3.
The men’s national championship is in final discussions to be held in Columbia County, Georgia from May 4-10. The agreement for the event to be held at Blanchard Woods Park should be finalized next month.
NAIA is the first college division to announce new dates for the spring for a national championship. The April and May dates could be foreshadowing for how Division I decides to handle moving fall championships to the spring.
