NPSL Team of the Week, July 4
In partnership with the NPSL, TopDrawerSoccer is naming an NPSL Team of the Week each week during the 2018 NPSL season. The week is defined as matches played Monday through Sunday of the previous week. The following is the latest NPSL Team of the Week, named on July 4 for games played June 25-July 1.
NPSL Team of the Week
F Anthony Allison, Junior Lone Star FC: Allison collected a brace and an assist in a 4-1 win over Torch FC
F Doug Miller, Rochester Lancers: A former professional soccer player for the Rochester Rhinos and the current 49-year-old coach of the Rochester Lancers, Miller came out of retirement and played his first outdoor game in 13 years and scored a goal 30 seconds after being subbed in during a 5-3 win over Greater Binghamton.
F Omar Nuno, Sonoma County Sol FC: Nuno, the current leader in the NPSL Golden Boot race with 20 goals, tallied four goals and two assists in a 9-0 win over Sacramento Gold FC.
M J.C. Banks, Jacksonville Armada FC: Banks scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 win over Palm Beach.
M Matt Nigro, FC Motown: Nigro had a hat trick in a 3-1 win over Hershey.
M Justin Oliver, Minneapolis City SC: Oliver scored a brace in a 4-2 win that clinched the NPSL North Conference title for Minneapolis.
M Juan Parada, Kingston Stockade FC: Parada tallied two goals and an assist in a 5-1 win over Boston City.
M Oliver Roberts, New Orleans Jesters: Roberts scored the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win over Greenville FC. He also had two assists and a goal in a 3-1 win over Asheville.
D Bilal Hassane, FC Frederick: Hassane scored the first goal of the match and played stellar defense in a 4-0 win over Charlottesville Alliance FC.
D Spencer Wolfe, Spokane SC Shadow: The center back was instrumental in leading the Shadow defense in a 2-1 win over OSA.
GK Quantrell Jones, FC Baltimore: Jones collected his third clean sheet in a span of four starts in a 1-0 win over FC Frederick.
