NPSL Team of the Week: May 23
In partnership with the NPSL, TopDrawerSoccer is naming an NPSL Team of the Week each week during the 2019 NPSL season. The week is defined as matches played Monday through Sunday of the previous week. The following is the inaugural NPSL Team of the Week, named May 23.
NPSL Team of the Week
GK: Isaac Walker, Kalamazoo FC - Walker saved all seven shots on goal and earned his first shutout of the season in a 3-0 victory over FC Indiana.
D: Peter Prescott, FCM Portland - Prescott had a strong performance at center back in a 0-0 draw with Spokane SC Shadow.
D: Sebastian Pages Leon, Laredo Heat SC - The left back had a stellar performance for Laredo in a 2-1 win over Tyler FC.
D: Eduardo Gomes, Georgia Revolution FC - The center back had a strong performance in a 2-2 draw with Inter Nashville FC.
M: Tom Beck, Cleveland SC - Beck scored a hat trick in a 5-1 win over Syracuse FC.
M: Sebastian Chalbaud, AFC Ann Arbor - Chalbaud, who was making his first start of the season, scored one goal in a 3-1 win over FC Columbus.
M: Nick Hutton, Minneapolis City SC - Hutton scored two goals in just 20 minutes in a 5-0 win over LC Aris FC.
M: Jack Hilton-Jones, Med City FC - The holding midfielder consistently linked play throughout the game and provided strong coverage in defense as Med City defeated Sioux Falls Thunder FC 2-0.
F: Walter Calderon, Atlantic City FC - Calderon registered two goals and one assist in a 6-1 win over Philadelphia Lone Star FC.
F: Aboubakr Diallo, Tulsa Athletic - Diallo scored twice in a 3-1 win over Ozark FC.
F: James Westfield, Duluth FC - Westfield scored twice in a 3-0 win over Dakota Fusion FC.
