Cracking the rotation with the full U.S. Women’s National Team is no easy feat for young, up-and-coming talent.
While Jill Ellis is giving high school standouts the opportunity to join the group, players about to start their NWSL careers (which season starts this weekend), that ambition will be in the back of the mind of new professionals.
Three members of the rookie class have already made their full team debuts, as Ashley Hatch (North Carolina Courage), Rose Lavelle (Boston Breakers), and Jane Campbell (Houston Dash) have gotten a look. Those two obviously don’t qualify for this list.
As players look to carve out a role at the next level, here are four names that could be next in line to potentially crack the full team one day.
