UNIVERSITY CENTER, Ohio – With the help of freshman Kevin McMahon, the Ohio Dominican Panthers garnered their third straight win, topping the No. 13 Saginaw Valley Cardinals 3-2 in overtime Sunday afternoon.
With the win, the Panthers now move to 6-3-1 overall and 5-2 in conference play while the Cardinals fall to 7-2-1 and 4-2-1 in the GLIAC.
Senior Casey Weddle (Cincinnati, Ohio) continued his momentum from the previous game, scoring in the 27th minute, giving the Panthers an early 1-0 lead.
Following the break, the Cardinals Zach Myers connected on a pass from Lachlan Savage, knotting the game at 1-1. A little over 20 minutes later, Zach Walega gave the Cardinals the 2-1 lead after he sent the ball into the back of the net from a Zach Minor pass.

In the first overtime, Weddle found McMahon (Dublin, Ohio) after playing the ball thru to the 18 and gave McMahon a shot on the goal for the game-winner.
The Cardinals outshot the Panthers 14-10 but both teams tied on shots on goal 4-4.
Freshman Macklin Robinson (Cincinnati, Ohio) picked up the win and improved his record to 2-1-0 while grabbing two saves.
