Ordonez Lifts Kats Past NCCC

SANBORN, N.Y. - Sept. 22 - Sophomore forward Pablo Ordonez (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Cheektowaga) gave the Erie Community College men's soccer team a quick 1-0 on its first shot of the game as the Kats recorded a 6-2 win over Niagara County Community College Thursday afternoon. Ordonez finished the game with two goals and two assists. His 11 goals rank fifth in NJCAA Division III.
Also scoring for the Kats were freshman Sami Abdulmalik (Lackawanna, N.Y./Lackawanna), freshman Taylor Sentz (Hamburg, N.Y./Frontier), sophomore Otuken Gildo (Buffalo, N.Y./East) and freshman Ron Cox (Lackawanna, N.Y./Lackawanna). Freshman goalkeeper Rich Bund (Silver Creek, N.Y./Silver Creek) made 11 saves for the win.
ECC plays Jefferson Community College at 3 p.m. Saturday at the ECC South Campus.
