So on the cusp of the second season of the NWSL, which player is poised to make an immediate impact?

Here’s a look at ten possible Rookie of the Year candidates (in no particular order):
D/M Crystal Dunn, Washington Spirit
The 2012 Hermann Trophy Winner and National Champion obviously slots in here after being selected with the first overall pick in the draft. A dynamite talent with dominant athleticism, Dunn might get off to a slow start to the season after only making her preseason debut last week thanks to a nagging injury. However, no matter where she ends up playing – outside back or midfield – look for her to make an immediate impact.
