Capital University scored a pair of late goals to hand Wilmington College a 2-0 setback in Ohio Athletic Conference action at Charlie Gilhart Field Wednesday night.

In a game between third-place occupants in the conference standings, both sides had — and missed — scoring opportunities in the opening half, and the match went to the break scoreless.
Capital picked up its attack in the second half and cashed in when Delaney Thompson scored off a set piece in the 76th minute.
Less than 3 minutes later, the Crusaders were awarded a penalty kick, and Hilary Els hit netting to put Capital up, 2-0.
For the game, Capital out-shot Wilmington, 16-7. Both teams took three corner kicks.
Wilmington will remain home when the Marietta Pioneers visit Gilhart Field for an OAC match at 5 p.m. Saturday.
