After we got adapted after 20 minutes, we slowed the game down and created a lot of scoring opportunities in the first half and then took over the second half.”<br /> <br /> The Titans came out with a 7-2 shooting advantage in the first half and upped it to a 19-5 total outshooting the Golden Griffins 12-3 in the second frame.<br /> <br /> She netted her first at 56:04 taking a long cross from <dfn><a href="http://www.detroittitans.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=1556">Mary Leone</a></dfn> on the right side of the field. Quarrell was on the left side of the six-yard box and tapped it in. Her second came as she found a loose ball just inside the 18-yard frame and fired it into the upper right corner of the net for goal number two. Her final tally came at the 67:01 mark as newcomer <dfn><a href="http://www.detroittitans.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=1626">Haley Burtraw</a></dfn> cut towards the net on the left goal line and made a great pass to Quarrell in front of the net who made no mistake.<br /> <br /> “We played well together as a team and definitely our preseason [work] was shown off in this game,” said Quarrell.<br /> <br /> Senior <dfn><a href="http://www.detroittitans.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=1559">Janae Paveglio</a></dfn> added the fourth Titan goal on the day as she headed in a cross from <dfn><a href="http://www.detroittitans.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=1571">Jennifer Borawski</a></dfn>. Borawski played the ball from the right side into the middle of the 18-yard box and Paveglio put it in making it 4-0 Detroit.<br /> <br /> Junior <dfn><a href="http://www.detroittitans.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=1551">Nora Abolins</a></dfn> made three saves in goal for the Titans capturing her first shutout of the season.<br /> <br /> With Monday’s 4-0 win over Canisius, head coach <dfn><a href="http://www.detroittitans.com/coaches.aspx?rc=299">Mike Lupenec</a></dfn> now has 175 career victories as a head coach, all with the Titans.
