RADFORD SHUTS OUT LEHIGH, 1-0
HARRISONBURG, Va. – Sivert Daehlie's header in the 80th minute capped off a dominating performance by Radford on both sides of the pitch as the Highlanders defeated Lehigh 1-0, collecting their second shutout of the JMU Invitational.
The first half saw the Highlander defense limit the Mountain Hawks to one shot, while managing six shots of their own. Neither team found a shot on frame in the opening half.
Jakob Strandsäter paced five different Highlanders with shots in the first half as the sophomore led the way with two shots.
Radford came out of halftime with an offensive assault, racking up 12 shots with five on goal. The match looked as if it was going down to the wire, before an offsides call on Lehigh in the 77th minute gave Radford the ball.
The Highlanders took advantage of the call as a right wing cross off the foot of Bismark Amofah found Sivert Daehlie. Daehlie took the perfect cross and headed it home for the game winning goal in the 80th minute.

QUOTABLE
- "Another strong performance and great win. I am proud of our group's belief and discipline. To have that much of the ball and that many chances, but not get frustrated when it doesn't go perfectly is a good team quality to have. I felt like we were in good control of the game and it was just a matter of time before we broke through. "We have plenty to improve on, but we are excited to play at home next Saturday. We hope to have a great crowd come out and support us against a strong Davidson team." ~ Radford head coach Marc Reeves.
