Ranger Soccer Garners 2011-12 Team Academic Award
SALISBURY, Md.: Regis men's and women's soccer earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award after both teams maintained above a 3.0 throughout the 2011-12 season.
Belzer and women's soccer earned a 3.67 cumulative grade point average, while men's soccer finished out with a 3.38 grade point average.
The women placed 12 on this season's Academic All-RMAC Teams, including seniorsMarissa Davis and Maddie Reeves and sophomore Kendal Kagawa to first team.
Juniors Meghan Stuart and Alison Cahill earned second team honors while seven other Rangers garnered honorable mention including junior Ellen Augsburger, sophomores Kiki Arnold and Rebecca Brunson and redshirt freshman Sade Akindele.
The men placed eight on Academic All-RMAC Teams, including two first team selection sophomores, Logan Miller and Adam Tormoehlen.
Senior Michael Sheehan and juniors Garrett Seitz and Nicolas Morabito were named to the second team. Also receiving honorable mention were seniors Scott Brown and Kyle Farrell and sophomore Jordan Spring.
Ranger men's soccer also earned a Capitol One Academic All-American Third Team selection with Seitz and an RMAC Summit Award, which is given to the individual with the highest GPA who plays in the RMAC tournament (Tormoehlen).
