Rangers Place 8 on RMAC All-Academic Teams
#2 Rangers Place Eight on RMAC All-Academic Teams; Miller and Tormoehlen to First
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.: Eight Rangers were named to the RMAC All-Academic teams this Tuesday, sophomores Logan Miller and Adam Tormoehlen earned first team accolades.
Miller earned a 3.50 GPA after his freshman year, and is undecided. So far throughout the 2012 season, the midfielder is tied for second on the team with seven goals scored. He currently boasts a .562 shot on goal percentage and has collected two assists and 16 total points.
Tormoehlen, originally from Highlands Ranch, Colo., has earned a 3.93 GPA while studying in Health Professions. This season, the forward has collected four goals including two game-winning, two assists and 10 points. In 15 total shot attempts, he has put seven on goal for a .467 shot on goal percentage.
Earning second team honors were senior Michael Sheehan and juniors Garrett Seitzand Nicolas Morabito.
Sheehan holds a 3.84 GPA while studying Education, with an emphasis in physical education and coaching. The native of Limerick, Ireland has helped the Rangers to a 0.71 goals against average as a defender. He has currently played in all 11 matches.
Seitz, while earning a degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences, has maintained a 3.91 GPA. The Broomfield, Colo. native has played in eight matches during the 2012 season. He has earned one assist for the Rangers and holds a .750 shot on goal percentage after putting three out of four shots on goal.
Originally from Highlands Ranch, Colo., Morabito currently holds a 3.84 GPA while studying Business. So far this season, the midfielder has played in five matches and has logged one shot.
Seniors Scott Brown and Kyle Farrell and sophomore Jordan Spring were also honored with All-Academic Honorable Mention status.
Brown, a native of Greenwood Village, Colo., majors in Business and holds a 3.49 GPA. He is a goalkeeper for the Rangers
Farrell, a midfielder from Rochester, Minn., holds a 3.81 GPA in Biological and Biomedical Sciences.
Defender Spring holds a 3.88 GPA while studying Biological and Biomedical Sciences. He is originally from Parker, Colo.
The Rangers will take on Colorado Christian University on Sunday, October 14th at 3:30 PM. The match will take place in Lakewood, Colo.
