Recruiting Views: Momentum builds
Each week, TDS digs into the latest recruiting news and looks at the implications for this fall and beyond.
Below is this week’s Recruiting Views, as Division I classes are confirmed and big programs add future commitments. It was a busy week, with more classes announced, internationals revealed and transfers galore.
Cincinnati announces class, with international twist
The Cincinnati women’s soccer program confirmed its signings this week. Six of the seven new signings were pretty typical for a team in a relatively prominent conference.
The one standout is Han Tang, as another Chinese youth international makes the move to a major Division I school. Coaches around DI have often indicated that China is a new frontier in terms of international recruiting, and Tang follows in the footsteps of Yujie Zhao, who earned Freshman of the Year award from TopDrawerSoccer.com in 2018.
