Regis Drops Western 4-2 in Big RMAC Win
GUNISON, Colo.: Regis women's soccer dominated Western State Sunday afternoon, placing four goals to the back of the net through 90:00 minutes of regulation play.
RU outshot WSUD 16-6, while scoring their first three goals before Western found their first.
Senior Rachel McMahon earned her first goal unassisted, in the fifth minute of play and sophomore Sid Otto followed up with a goal of her own in the 11th minute.
RU would go 3-0 shortly into the second half when sophomore defender Danielle Dageenakis would score roughly 12 minutes into the half on an assisted pass by senior CC Rinehart.
The Rangers allowed two goals in the second half before placing their fourth and final goal to the back of the net in the 89th minute of the match. Rinehart connected with fellow senior Meghan Stuart for the goal, placing the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference win at a 4-2 advantage over their opponents.
Freshman Kat Crump earned the win after grabbing three saves in her time between the posts.
Regis will return home Wednesday, October 16 at 3:30 p.m. to take on the Orediggers out of Colorado School of Mines.
