Rice Defeats Visiting FAU, 6-2

The Rice soccer team exploded for four second half goals to coast past visiting FAU 6-2 in the Conference USA opener for both teams Friday evening at Holloway Field in Houston. The game's box score is available at the above link and a video with Coach Nicky Adams will be available soon.
With the win Rice improved to 4-2-1 on the season and 1-0-0 in C-USA league play. FAU dropped to 4-4-1 overall and 0-1-0 in conference.
Rice next returns to action on Thursday (Sept. 21) with a C-USA home match against Louisiana Tech. Start time is set for 7 pm.
