RU Earns Three All-RMAC; Otto to First Team
Ranger Women’s Soccer Places Three to All-RMAC; Otto to First Team
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.: Regis women's soccer earned three All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference selections after going 8-7-2 overall and 6-6-2 in the conference.
Sophomore Sid Otto garnered first team accolades while sophomore Danielle Dageenakis earned second team and senior Rachel McMahon was named third team.
Otto snagged four goals and two assists on the season for 10 points. She picked up two game-winners and went a perfect 1-for-1 on penalty kick attempts while amassing a .420 shot on goal percentage after putting 34 shots on goal in 81 attempts.
Dageenakis was a mainstay on the backline for Regis, helping the Rangers to four shutouts on the season and a 1.39 goals against average in 13 matches played. She also snagged a goal, a game-winner, and an assist for three points during 2013.
McMahon held the Rangers together both offensively and defensively this season. She was second on the team with five goals, while also collecting on two assists for 12 points. She maintained a .455 shots on goal percentage after posting 33 shots on the season.
The Rangers earned the #5-seed in the RMAC tournament after the regular season and will play first in Las Vegas, N.M. at New Mexico Highlands University. The match will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Wed., Nov. 6.
