Meghan McCabe and Shannon Kelly scored as defending MAAC Tournament Champion Rider shut out Siena Women’s Soccer 2-0 in Lawrenceville, N.J. Senior goalkeeper Liz Rogan made three saves for the Saints.

The squads played evenly for the majority of the first half, before McCabe headed in a corner from Hollie Kelsh to put Rider (7-5, 4-2) in front in the 40^th minute. The Broncs had an opportunity to go up two scores heading into the half, but Rogan saved a penalty kick from Kelsh in the final half minute of the stanza.

Kelly added her insurance goal in the 77^th minute for the Broncs which have won six of their last eight overall, with each victory coming via shutout.

Rider held a 9-6 edge in shots and a 7-1 margin in corners. Bethany-May Howard made two saves to record the clean sheet for the Broncs.

Sophomore midfielder Madison Vasquez led the Saints with a pair of shots including one on target, while classmate Michele Tremblay accounted for Siena’s other shot on goal.

The Saints return to Siena Field Wednesday when they host Fairfield at 3 p.m.
