Sanchez Adds Seven To Soccer Roster
Seven student-athletes will continue their education and play soccer for the University of Colorado, head coach Danny Sanchez announced Thursday.
“We have found seven student-athletes that will come in and compete right away,” said Sanchez. “We needed some players that can help fill the roles of our six, very good graduating seniors and we believe we found some great talent that can make an immediate impact on our program.”
In his fourth recruiting class at CU, Sanchez has added talent at various positions, including three midfielders, two forwards, one defender and one goalkeeper. Erin Greening, Brooklyn Varnadore and Stephanie Zuniga-Herrera are the three California natives to join the squad and come from playing on the same Bay Oaks Botafogo club team together. Coloradans Amy Alexander from Highlands Ranch and Alexandra Vidger from Castle Rock both play on the Real Colorado club. Sarah Kinzner will make the move from Calgary, Alberta to the Centennial State and Jalen Tompkins hails from Phoenix, Ariz.
