St. Cloud State Blanks Sioux Falls, 3-0
The Huskies defeated the University of Sioux Falls Cougars by a score of 3-0 in a rare night game, Wednesday at Husky Stadium.
After a scoreless first half the Huskies came out red hot in the second. Sophomore midfielder Kara Dahmen put SCSU ahead 1-0 at the 52:12 mark on a goal assisted by senior Chelsey Permenter. It only took a couple of minutes for the Huskies to strike again.
This time it was junior forward Kayla Kramer scoring with the assist going to junior Mary Morhardt. SCSU would get one more at the 75:58 mark of the match, as it was Dahmen once again finding the back of the net for her second goal of the night. Junior Shannon Sorensen was credited with the assist on the goal.
The Huskies improve their record to 2-4-0 on the season (0-2-0 NSIC).
SCSU will be back at home again this Saturday as they host MSU Moorhead at 4 pm at Husky Stadium. They will play Minnesota Crookston on Sunday afternoon with that game also slated for a 4 pm start.
