The Stony Brook men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to four matches and remained undefeated in America East play after a scoreless draw against Albany Wednesday night at LaValle Stadium.

The Seawolves are now 6-4-3 overall and 2-0-1 in America East, earning a valuable point in the standings. Albany is now 4-6-2 and is still winless in the league at 0-1-2. 

Stony Brook had its best chances in the first half. Junior Leonardo Fernandes (Sao Paulo, Brazil) had a 23rd minute clang off the post, narrowly missing the back of the net. The rebound went to senior Serigne Sylla (Dakar, Senegal) with a clear opening, but he was called offsides.

At the end of the second half, Albany pressured a bit and had two shots hit the crossbar, but the Seawolves defense persevered behind senior captain and America East Player of the Game Kyle McTurk as they did not let the Great Danes convert two opportunistic corner kicks in the waning minutes of regulation.

The best chance in overtime went to sophomore Will Casey (Setauket, N.Y.), who had a header shot at the goal that Albany's Adrian Foncette saved.

Foncette finished with three saves, and Seawolves junior goalkeeper Stefan Manz (Bronx, N.Y.) finished with two. Manz recorded his third shutout of the season and 12th of his career.

Stony Brook hits the road this weekend for a Saturday tilt against Boston University at 2 p.m.
