Stony Brook announces 2013 recruiting class
Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook men's soccer coach Ryan Anatol has announced his recruiting class of 2013, featuring 12 newcomers that will suit up for the Seawolves this coming fall. The class features three transfers and nine freshmen, representing three different U.S. states and five different countries.
"My staff and I are very excited to welcome this group of student-athletes to our program," Anatol said. "This is a talented group of student-athletes with strong character, and they will leave their mark on our program. We look forward to working with them and helping them develop during their time here at Stony Brook University."
The 12 newcomers will join 15 returning letterwinners from last season's team that was 11-6-1 overall and 4-3-0 in America East. The Seawolves have won 10-plus games in each of their seasons under Anatol and, in 2012, finished with the highest NCAA RPI (55) in program history. Stony Brook will kick off the 2013 season at home against Sacred Heart on Friday, Aug. 30 at LaValle Stadium.
Stony Brook expects to release a few more members of this recruiting class in the upcoming weeks.
