TDS Men’s Team of the Week: Sept. 20
It was a week for the forwards in Men’s Division I soccer. There were hat tricks and multiple goal games across the board. The significant offense output was enough to get a number of players on the list, but it was a standout in the Bay Area who claimed the top honor as Player of the Week.
TDS Player of the Week: Christian Thierjung, California
TDS Team of the Week (Sept. 12-18)
GK Jonny Sutherland, East Tennessee State - The sophomore goalkeeper made six saves over the course of two games as he helped the Bucs pick up two wins over the past week. Sutherland’s play helped ETSU shut out UNC on Tuesday to pull off the upset over the previously undefeated Tar Heels.
D Bradley Centala, Michigan State - The defender played all 90 minutes and scored the game-winning goal in Michigan State’s 1-0 win over Michigan on Sunday. Centala also helped the defense secure a shutout against Oakland last week.
