The best U20 eligible players in college
The U.S. U20 Women’s National Team is currently in camp at the StubHub Center in Southern California. As part of the preparation process for the 2016 U20 Women’s World Cup, the youth national team is hosting an international event with three other national teams. Head coach Michelle French has 20 players in camp for the event. The leader of the squad has been advocating keeping the group together through the college season as they prepare for the seminal event in November.
With the inopportune timing of the World Cup, it left some players in difficult decisions as to whether they were going to strive for a spot on the U.S. National Team for the U20 World Cup or they were going to pursue collegiate glory with their respective schools. There was no compromise in trying to do both, which left some players off of the national team and still in the college game.
TopDrawerSoccer takes a look at some of the best players eligible for the U.S. U20 Women’s National Team who are still playing college soccer this fall.
