Tribe men to play Richmond Kickers

The William and Mary men's soccer team and the Richmond Kickers of the United Soccer Leagues (USL) will play an exhibition match to benefit the StoweStrong Fund at Ukrop Park in Richmond on Friday, March 23, at 7 p.m. Tickets will be on sale for a donation of $5 with all proceeds going toward the StoweStrong.com fundraising campaign.
StoweStrong.com was created by the William and Mary soccer family to support former Tribe soccer player Ian Stowe's ('11) fight against cancer. A four-year letterwinner at the College, Stowe was diagnosed with a tumor on his brain stem in early 2012. Since the initial diagnoses, Stowe has returned home to Richmond, Va., where he is now receiving treatment at MCV on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
StoweStrong.com was created to spread awareness to family, friends and all those close to Stowe about his current situation. One of the primary goals of the site is to help Stowe and his family offset the impending medical expenses associated with Ian's treatment program. The site will also provide frequent updates as to the status of his road to recovery.
