Tulsa Drops 2-0 Decision at Kansas State
The Tulsa women’s soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Kansas State on Sunday afternoon at the Buser Family Park in Manhattan, Kan. The Golden Hurricane fell to 4-3 on the season, while the Wildcats moved to 2-4-2 overall.
Tulsa and Kansas State battled to a 0-0 score at halftime, but KSU’s Katie Cramer struck early in the second half with her header off a corner kick in the 47thminute. Laramie Hall made it a two-goal cushion for K-State just under 11 minutes later as she scored in the 58thminute.
The Wildcats had a 20-10 lead in shots, including a 12-4 advantage in shots on goal, and an 8-2 lead in corner kicks.
Valiree Morris had a team-best four shots for the Golden Hurricane, while six others had one attempt. Mica MacKay logged all 90 minutes in goal and picked up 10 saves.
Tulsa will return to action on Tuesday, September 17 against Oklahoma Baptist. Game time is set for 7:30 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
