Tulsa Women’s Soccer Team Signs Four
Tulsa Head Women’s Soccer Coach Kyle Cussen announced the signing of four players for the 2015 freshman class, including Danielle Hoover, Jamie Jeffrey, Anna Martin and McKenzi McAdams.
“I am very excited about this class,” Cussen said. “With only one senior this past season, we have a solid core of returning players, but this will fill needs and will help us immediately, as well as for the long term. It is a solid class that helps us take that next step toward a conference championship and NCAA berth.”
A 5-8 outside defender from Broken Arrow, Okla., Hoover played club soccer for the TSC Hurricane. Most recently she helped her club team finish second at the 2015 ECNL U18 Phoenix Showcase, played in the 2014 ECNL U17 Champions League national playoff and captured the 2013 ECNL U16 North American League National Championship. Hoover is currently the team captain and has started the last four years at outside back. She has helped post 36 shutouts, while tallying five goals and six assists. Hoover is a 13-time ECNL Match MVP, including six ECNL national event match MVPs. She was also a three-year letterwinner at Union High School, where she helped her team post a 41-8-2 mark in that time.
A 5-4 outside midfielder and forward from Richardson, Texas, Jeffrey played club soccer for the Dallas Texans ECNL where she won the 2014-15 ECNL National Championship League and 2012-13 ECNL Texas Division Championship, and finished fourth in the 2013-14 ECNL National Championship. Jeffrey was also a three-year letterwinner at Bishop Lynch High School. At BLHS, she helped her team advance to the 5A State finals as a junior, and made semifinal appearances as a freshman and sophomore. She was a two-time all-district performer, an all-state honoree and an all-state tournament selection.
Martin, a 5-5 center back from Wildwood, Mo., played club soccer for the Lou Fusz Soccer Club. She helped her club team finish as the 2014 Missouri State U18 Cup Champions, 2014 Disney Showcase Champions and 2013 CASL Showcase Champions, as well as Premier Division MRL from 2010-14. Martin also played for St. Joseph’s Academy, where she is a three-year letterwinner, assisting her team to the Class 3A Missouri State Championship as a junior.
A 5-4 attacking midfielder and forward from Abilene, Texas, McAdams played club soccer for the FC Dallas ECNL ’97 and played at Wylie High School. She was named the West Texas Invitational MVP as a sophomore, junior and senior, picked up first-team all-district accolades as a sophomore and junior, and was tabbed as the Argyle Winter Classic Tournament MVP and to the all-tournament team as a junior.
