After last year’s Under 20 Women’s World Cup triumph in Japan, qualifying for the 2014 edition of the competition is right around the corner in January.
Once again, the majority of the U.S. squad – if not all – is set to be full of college players. Head coach Michelle French called in 23 players at the end of July for camp in California, and no doubt she is scouting the college ranks, searching for talent for the qualifying tournament in the Cayman Islands in January.
Here’s a look at players who have helped their U20 stock during the current season.
