#UDWSOC EDGED BY A-10 LEADER LA SALLE 1-0
DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's soccer team (6-8-1, 2-2-0 A-10) was shut out by first-place La Salle (8-4-2, 4-0-0 A-10) in a key Atlantic 10 matchup Friday night at Baujan Field.
The Flyers dominated time of possession and had 28 shots to the Explorers' 10. UD also had nine corner kicks, while La Salle had three.
A-10 leading scorer Kelsey Haycook scored her 12th goal of the season for the only goal of the match in the 31st minute with the assist coming from Jessika Kagan.
Junior Ashley Campbell led UD with a career-high 10 shots and junior Nicole Waters took seven shots, including a match-high four shots on goal.
The loss breaks a 30-game unbeaten streak (28-0-2) in home conference matches dating back to Oct. 21, 2007. The Flyers have not defeated La Salle since Oct. 3, 2010.
Dayton is back in action Sunday, Oct. 19 vs. Fordham at Baujan Field at 1 p.m. The five UD seniors will be honored prior to the match.
