#UDWSOC WIN STREAK ENDED BY VCU
RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Dayton women's soccer team (5-8-0, 3-1-0 A-10) dropped its first Atlantic 10 Conference match of this season with a 3-2 loss to VCU (6-6-1, 4-0-0 A-10) Sunday afternoon at Sports Backers Stadium. The Rams, winners of five consecutive, are one of two teams to remain undefeated in conference play.
STATS OF THE MATCH
• Dayton outshot VCU 20-10, including 12-3 in the second half. The Flyers also too four cornerkicks while VCU took none.
• The Flyers fell behind early as the Rams scored two goals in the first 11 minutes of the match.
• Senior Ashley Campbell scored both goals for the Flyers moving her career total to 55. She needs three to tie for first all-time.
• Senior Nicole Waters had an assist in the match. She is second-all-time in career assists with 45.
• Junior Meghan Blank also had an assist.

• 18th minute – Campbell scored with an assist from Meghan Blank. (VCU 2, Dayton 1)
• 71st minute – Campbell scored again with an assist from Waters. (VCU 3, Dayton 2)
VCU GOALS
• 9th minute – Tori Burress scored with assists by Julia Suarez and Kailyn Slade. (VCU 1, Dayton 0)
• 12th minute – Sharon Wojcik scored moments later to give VCU a 2-0 lead. (VCU 2, Dayton 0)
• 65th minute – Burress scored her second of the match with assists from Slade and Wojcik. (VCU 3, Dayton 2)

• Dayton plays on the road at La Salle this Thursday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. in Philadelphia.
