UNBEATEN MICHIGAN STATE EDGES #UDWSOC 2-1
EAST LANSING, Mich. – The University of Dayton women's soccer team (0-4-0) fell 2-1 to Michigan State at the DeMartin Soccer Complex in the Spartans' home opener. MSU (3-0-1) remains unbeaten after four matches this season.
STATS OF THE MATCH
• The Flyers outshot the Spartans 8-3 in the second half and both squads registered five shots in the first half.
• Michigan State held a 1-0 at halftime.
• Ashley Campbell scored her first goal of her senior season to tie the match in the 56th minute. She is third on UD's all time scoring list with 47 career goals (five goals away from second and 12 to tie for first).
• A little over 30 seconds later the Spartans scored the eventual game-winning goal.

• Dayton will host four consecutive home matches:
Nebraska on Friday, Sept. 4 at 4:30 p.m.;
Wright State on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 7 p.m.;
Rice on Friday, Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m.;
and Texas A&M on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 1 p.m.
