USF Now No. 19/17
TAMPA, Sept. 11, 2018 – USF women’s soccer moved up one spot to No. 19 in the United Soccer Coaches rankings on Tuesday. The Bulls moved up two spots to No. 17, in the Top Drawer Soccer rankings.
USF took on Navy last Friday night, and defeated the Mids 2-1 behind a two-goal effort from junior striker Evelyne Viens (Canada). Viens has scored two goals in the last two straight games.
Notables
- Viens ranks in the national top 10 in three categories including No. 4 in points per game (2.60), No. 5 in goals per game (1), and No. 8 in shots per game (5)
- Viens also ranks No. 18 in shots on goal per game (2.40) and No. 26 in total points (13)
- Viens was named to The American Honor Roll
- USF ranks No. 24 and leads the conference in assists per game (2.40)

The USF women's soccer team has posted six consecutive seasons of 10-plus wins and eight in the last nine years under head coach Denise Schilte-Brown. The Bulls made their first NCAA tournament appearance in 2010 and returned in 2014, 2015 and 2017.
