WINSTON SALEM, N.C. -- The first U.S. Soccer Spring College Program concluded at Wake Forest University on Saturday, April 21, an event where all six of the participating college programs met for their final matches in the spring season.
University of North Carolina were named champions after their 1-0 victory over Duke in one of the earlier matches. The Tar Heels went 5-0 during the tournament, scoring 13 goals and only conceding 2. Georgetown defeated Clemson in the other early match of the afternoon and Virginia squeezed past Wake Forest in the event’s final match.
