UTEP Soccer Signs 10 Prep Standouts For 2017

EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP soccer program has landed 10 prep standouts who will attend the school and begin competing with the Miners in 2017, as announced by head coach Kevin Cross Wednesday.
A brief bio on each of the signees follows below.
Vic Bohdan
Forward
Ecole Madeleine d’Houet High School
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Playing on Napoli Women's team and has secured the position for top goals scored in the division … also helped the squad advance to provincials on multiple occasions, followed by nationals … helped squad claim the bronze medal at that level … former player for Calgary Blizzards soccer club … contributed to the team making it to both provincials as well as nationals while climbing to a ranking of fifth nationally … played on the provincial team from 2011-14 … voted to play in the All Star games in each of those years … also competed for two years with the RPC (Regional Progressional Centrre), doing so from 2013-15 … attended St. Francis High School, helping team win its division in all three years … selected to represent the school in the All-District All Star game.

Standout with Premier Club Soccer from 2011-present … competed at the 2016 Nationals with U18 squad … helped team claim FC Northwest Soccer league championship in 2015 and 2016 … 2014 NSC Cup Champions … 2012 U13 Premier Portage League Champions … received Coaches Players’ Award in 2011 … 2012 Female Player of the Year … gained valuable experience at both the provincial and national level … has trained at the National Development Center (2013-14) and participated in REX Program (2015-16) … played with Manitoba Provincial Team … also competed in volleyball, basketball, track & field, Cross Country … enjoys skiing, wake boarding, snowmobiling and camping … maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA … daughter of Dave and Lesley Bosivert … has one sister.

Team captain for Classics Elite 99g as a center defender and center midfielder under Owen Collie and Brian Monaghan … has played for Classics Elite top team for the past six years … helped squad win a South Texas State Cup and claim runner-up honors twice … also secured a South Texas State Cup when playing up on the Classics Elite 98g team in 2014 … previously competed on the South Texas ODP first team from 2011-2013 … was also a U.S. Soccer Training Center attendee … thankful to God for allowing her to pursue her dream of playing college soccer and to her family and coaches for their support throughout her journey.

Four-year varsity member at Creekview HS, including serving as captain for two seasons … received numerous honors, including District Newcomer of the Year and All-Region Forward (2014); NSCAA All-Region Team, District MVP, and All-State Forward (2015); District MVP, All-State Forward, Top Drawer Soccer All-Star Team, and D/FW 5A scoring champion with 41 goals (2016) … other noteworthy awards include three 3v3 World Championships and one US Youth Futsal National Championship … earned academic All-District honors all four years … played for Sting ECNL (2008-10) and 2010-present … was on the Sting 2010 State Cup Championship team … has also competed with Solar Soccer Club and Mustangs FC … began playing soccer at the age of three … attributes much of her success to her many coaches and trainers over the years, including Juan Gonzales, Kat Webb, Carl Bussey, Brian Flanagan, Tatu Pecorari and Mario Esquivel … daughter of Anthony and Stacy Jimmerson, who she is very thankful for their sacrifices, support and guidance.

Member of the U17 Canadian National Team coached by Beverly Preistman, with assistance from Joey Lombardi … also is currently a part of the Regional Excel Program (REX), under coach Shaun Lowther, and part of The Vancouver Whitecaps FC SuperREX program in 2016 … was part of the Regional Performance Centre from its start to finish during 2013-2016 … four-year starter (2012-15) with Alberta’s Provincial Team, leading the team to three gold medals and one bronze … previously played for Calgary Southwest United at club level with Napoli 99 from U10-U18 … led her team to a pair (2013 and 2015) of City Championships … allowed four goals in the season while helping team claim Provincial Championships in 2013 and 2015 to advance to the National Club Championships … at nationals claimed bronze both years … starred in the AMSL Women’s League with the Calgary Callies starting in 2015 as an under-aged player (15) … led St. Mary’s HS to its first Division I Championship (2015) … multi-sport athlete who also played volleyball and badminton … also maintained honor roll status … trained with Phil Malone at PM Goalkeeper Academy for eight years … began playing soccer at the age of three … daughter of Rob and Mich Leask … has an older sister (Felicia), who played soccer for Texas State

Plays for Dallas Texans 99 ECNL as a midfielder for Coach Leo Maric … has also played club soccer for Andromeda, Solar Chelsea, and Sting … advanced to ECNL National Finals with Solar Chelsea in 2013 … has contributed to much of the scoring and assists on all teams she has been associated with … aims to lead by example … captain of Sunnyvale HS-school’s first girls soccer team … also competes with the first Texas UIL Soccer team in Sunnyvale … involved with the National Honor Society, Health Occupation Students of America, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes … has taken AP classes and been in marching band … was awarded the senior “Student of the Month” in January 2017 … thankful to her soccer coaches Stephen Gray along with Nick Stavrou being the most impressionable upon her, Kenny Medina, Antonio “Tatu” Pecorari, and Leo Maric … grateful as well to her parents … most of all is thankful to God for giving her a wonderful life and amazing opportunities.

Four-year varsity member of Rockwall HS … has earned All-District accolades in each of her first three years … as a freshman was the Newcomer of the Year and a second-team All-District honoree … elevated to first-team All-District as a sophomore and junior … tabbed the district 11-6A Midfielder of the Year as a junior, with her efforts helping Rockwall HS advance to the fifth round of the playoffs … squad was one of last eight teams in Texas … also ran Varsity Track and Cross-Country for three years … plays for D’feeters ‘99 ECNL as a defender for Coach Hugh Bradford … also competed with Dallas Sting under different coaches … thankful to Coach Hugh for the inspiration provided for her career … also very appreciative of her parents and family for being so supportive and in helping make the decision to continue career at collegiate level.

Became one of city’s top leading scorers while starring for El Dorado HS … named the 1-6A District MVP as a sophomore … voted Dr. Pinks FISD All-Tournament player as a freshman and sophomore … garnered All-District first-team accolades in the city as a sophomore, junior and senior … helped lead her squad to the bi-district championship game as a junior … started playing soccer in fourth grade with the El Paso Stars … a few years later began traveling for tournaments and then landed with El Paso Storm … played in major showcases and helped squad win the state cup and a couple of contests at the regional level … chosen to play for the New Mexico ODP team for two years, starting at the age of 13 … raised by her parents, Carlos and Veronica, who she considers to be the greatest … looks up to her older sister, Alezandra … endless gratitude for her parents, along with Oscar Mendoza, David Maddaford, Mike Greigo and her high school coach Adriana Enriquez.

Four-year varsity starter at Ursuline Academy, including captaining the squad as a junior and senior … helped team claim the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools 5A Division I State Championship in 2014 and 2016 … TAPPS state runner-up in 2015 … 2016 TAPPS 1-5A second-team All-District … NEPS (National Elite Prep Showcase) All-Tourney High School Honorable Mention (Defenders) … at the club level currently plays for D’Feeters ECNL ’99 U18 … previously competed with Sting ECNL 99’ (2014-16), Dallas Texans ECNL 99’ (2012-14), Sting Soccer Club (2011-12), Mustangs FC (2010-11) and Meja Soccer Club (2008-10) … took first place (2012-14) at ECNL Texas Division and also claimed the Dallas International Club Championship … began playing soccer at the age of five … thankful for all of the coaches who have helped teach her … also thankful of her parents, Mike and Ingrid Trevino, Jr., her three sisters, Megan, Amanda, and Rachel and her grandparents, Mike and Felicia Trevino Sr. and Lisa Bartling … her family has been her number one supporter and has pushed her to grow into the player she is today.
