Vandy adds impactful transfer to top class
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt soccer head coach Darren Ambrose has announced the addition of Hannah Morgan to the Commodore program.
Morgan, who hails from Berwyn, Pennsylvania, joins the Commodores after spending the 2018 season at Providence. The 2018 Big East All-Freshman honoree also received recognition last year as a Mid-Season Top Drawer Soccer Top 100 Freshman Player.
“As we continue to build a competitive roster, Hannah is a terrific addition to our program,” Ambrose said. “She brings some experience into a defensive role after having started the majority of games for a good Providence team as a freshman. She is composed in possession and defends one-on-one very well.”
For her FC Pennsylvania Strikers club team, Morgan was a three-time USYA Region One Champion, a four-time Pennsylvania East State Cup Champion, winner of the U.S. Youth Soccer Eastern Regional League in 2018, CASL Girls Showcase U-19 champion, and two-time U.S. Youth Soccer National League champion. She was also a U.S. Youth Soccer U-15 National Championship semi-finalist in 2015.
Morgan was an All-America performer in 2017 at Conestoga (Pa.) High School, and a two-time all-state and all-region selection. She was her league’s most valuable player in 2017.
