Brooklyn Heights, NY – Behind goals from freshman forward Isabella Manzella and junior forward Mya Donnelly, the Wagner College women's soccer team defeated the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers, 2-0, at Brooklyn Bridge Park – Pier 5, on Sunday afternoon.
 
Wagner (3-6; 1-0 NEC) had its first chance of the match five minutes into the contest as senior tri-captain Maria Nunez booted the ball, which sailed high over the net.  The Seahawks continued their attack, as junior Mya Donnelly had a chance that was right of the net.

Freshman goalkeeper Erin Kelly kept the Terriers off the board, as she denied Brianna Van Giesen's chance in the 20'.

Within a two-minute span, the Green & White pushed across a pair of potential scoring chances, the first coming off the cleat of sophomore Luisa Barone in the 28' as she was able to get by an SFBK defender and pelt a shot to the right that was stopped by Terrier goalkeeper, Klil Keshwar.

On th Seahawks' next chance, in the 30', Donnelly again was in the mix, as she sent a low shot that found the arms of Keshwar, keeping the game scoreless.
 
The visitors found the right transition and were able to capitalize as Nunez sent a well-placed feed that found the foot of Manzella, and the first-year Seahawk deposited the ball past the Terrier netminder for the goal.
 
For Manzella, it marked her first career goal while Nunez notched her first career helper.

When play resumed for the second half, the Seahawks continued to apply pressure as senior Autumn Clark blasted a shot in the 46' and a couple of minutes, Nunez and Donnelly each had chances as well. 
 
St. Francis Brooklyn then found a rhythm, as Henriette Lukke and Isabelle Gollette each had shot attempts,  a minute apart, but were unsuccessful.
 
The Seahawks added their second score of the contest with just two minutes left in regulation as junior forward Lindsay Weiss sent a pass that Donnelly took and booted past Keshwar as the Green & White went ahead by two.

SFBK had a chance with under a minute to go as Lykke sent a shot but was off target.
 
Wagner out-shot St. Francis Brooklyn, 17-9, highlighted by an 8-2 advantage in the first half. Donnelly led the team with five shots (three on goal) while Nunez had three shots on the afternoon. In goal, Kelly was credited with three saves.
 
The Terriers were led by Lykke, who had four shots while Keshwar stopped eight shots.
 
The Seahawks will be back in action on Friday evening at Hameline Field as they host Sacred Heart at 7:00 p.m.
