Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College women's soccer team hosts the Delaware State University Hornets Friday in the Seahawks' final non-conference contest of the 2018 season. The game is scheduled to kick off at 7:00 p.m. at Hameline Field.

Last Time Out: vs. Fairleigh Dickinson (October 14, 2018 | Lost, 6-2)
- The Wagner College women's soccer team scored the first goal of the contest on Sunday afternoon, but the visiting Fairleigh Dickinson University Knights scored a trio of goals midway through the first half as the Seahawks dropped a 6-2 decision to the Knights on Sunday afternoon at Hameline Field.
- Wagner continued to battle back in the contest and was rewarded in the 67th minute as junior goalkeeper Delaney Beck took her second free kick of the contest as this one was soaring toward the FDU, junior captain Maria Nunez was able to head the ball past a leaping Amanda Fitzgerald to cut the Knights lead to 4-2.
- For Nunez, who was named to the Northeast Conference (NEC) Prime Performer List on Tuesday, it marked her team-leading fourth goal of the season.
Wagner – Delaware State University Series History:
- Friday's contest between the Seahawks and the Hornets is the 13th all-time meeting between the schools with Wagner holding an 8-3-1 advantage in the head-to-head series.
- The Green & White are 2-2-1 in their last five matches with the Hornets, after picking up a 2-1 road victory a season ago.
- Delaney Beck came forward 112 minutes into the game and converted on a direct free kick from 39 yards out to lift Wagner past Delaware State, 2-1, in overtime giving head coach, Phil Casella, his first collegiate head coaching win. Beck finished with two saves in the contest as well.
Wagner vs. Northeast Conference:
- Sunday's contest with Fairleigh Dickinson marked the 170th all-time Northeast Conference (NEC) match the Seahawks will play.
- The most conference victories the Green & White has had in a single season is five, set back in 2014 when Wagner finished second in the league with a 5-1-2 conference mark and a 9-7-3 overall record en route to earning the No. 2 seed in the NEC Tournament.
Wagner Earns United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award:
- The United Soccer Coaches announced on Monday the Team Academic Award winners at the collegiate levels to recognize exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2017-18 academic year.
- The Wagner College women's soccer team was acknowledged as one of 507 women's programs to have earned the Team Academic Award.
- This marked the sixth time that the Seahawks program earned this honor (2007, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2018).
- Wagner finished the 2017-18 season with a 3.58 cumulative team GPA
Viscardi Among Top-Five In Career Saves:
- The Hazlet, NJ native has 182 for her career and is just 18 away from reaching the 200 career save plateau.

Scouting The Delaware State University Hornets:
- The Hornets enter play with a 3-11-2 record on the year and are 1-3-1 in their last five matches.
- The lone win during this stretch came on October 15 as DSU defeated Canisius, 2-1, at home.
- Jade Jamison leads the team with seven goals while Alexa Gibbs, ALyssa Coustenis and Katrina Silva pace the team with two assists.
- Leslie Fazio has appeared in goal in 15 of the 16 Hornets games this season, recording 77 saves.

- Wagner will play its final home contest of the 2018 season on Sunday, October 21, as they welcome in the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
