Warhawk Men Play to Draw with Cougars
After 110 minutes of play, a winner could not be decided as the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men’s soccer team finished in a 0-0 tie with the University of Minnesota-Morris Sunday in Morris, Minnesota.
In their three previous matches, the Warhawks totaled 32 shots. On Sunday UW-W tallied 33 shots, but just could not find the back of the net.

The Warhawks outshot their opponent 33-5, including 10-3 on goal, and earned 13 corner kicks to the Cougars’ two.
Steven Wright came off the bench, played 73 minutes, and led the Warhawks with six shots. Teammates Mariano Carini and Joey Pumo registered four each.
Toney Anderson played the entire game in goal and made three saves to pick-up the shutout.
The Warhawks, 1-2-1, will return to competition on Wednesday, September 12th when they host Luther College at 7 p.m.
