Weber State soccer adds six standouts
The Weber State University women’s soccer team is proud to announce the signing of six Utah players to a National Letter of Intent.
Signing with the Wildcats are Nikki Pittman, Sydney Seamons, Madison Garlock, Lauren Gibson, Olivia Hoddy, and Morgan Quarnberg.
“We are excited to add these six local Utah players to our Wildcat family,” Weber State coach Tim Crompton said. “Each of which, have experienced a high level of success during their respective youth careers, both at the high school and club levels. I am confident that they will continue to find that same success here within our program.”
Pittman, a 5-foot-5 goalkeeper from Weber High School in Pleasant View, Utah, was a four-year letter winner for the Warriors. She played her club soccer for La Roca and won back-to-back Utah State Cup championships.
Seamons, a 5-foot-6 midfielder from Brighton High School in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, was a three-year letter winner for the Bengals. Played her club soccer for Sparta United, helping them to three straight Utah State Cup finals and a spot in the Western Regionals in 2014.
Garlock, a 5-foot-8 forward from Davis High School in Kaysville, Utah, was a four year letter winner in soccer and also lettered twice in cross country and track & field for the Darts. She helped lead Davis to the 2014 Utah State 5-A Championship as a team captain. Garlock was named All-State as a senior, junior and freshman. Played club soccer for La Roca in 2014, which won the last two Utah State Cup titles, and won two Utah State Cup titles with Avalanche in 2009 and 2010.
Gibson, a 5-foot-2 holding midfielder from Woods Cross High School in Woods Cross, Utah, was a three-year letter winner for the Wildcats. She played her club soccer for La Roca, helping the team to four straight Utah State Cup championships from 2011-2014.
Hoddy, a 5-foot-5 forward from Mountain View High School in Orem, Utah, was a four-year letter winner for the Bruins. Played her club soccer for Sparta United, which advanced to the Utah State Cup finals during each of the past three years. Sparta also made the Western Regionals in 2014. Was a member of the Olympic Development Pool state team for three years.
Quarnberg, a 5-foot-3 forward from Pleasant Grove High School in Pleasant Grove, Utah, was a four-year letter winner for the Vikings. She played her club soccer for Sparta United, which has made the Utah State Cup finals for the past three years.
