Women's College Preseason Top 100 Players
The TDS Pre-season 100 is here, ranking the top players in college soccer heading into the 2024 season. Leading are five of the best talents in the women’s game, all looking for a chance at a legacy-defining season.
1. Lexi Missimo, Texas
As expected, the reigning TDS College Player of the Year returns as the top-ranked player. With 26 goals and 20 assists, Missmo led the nation in points, as those 72 were also the 15th most in NCAA history. Texas is now in the SEC, meaning the Solar SC product will be asked to guide her team to success in a new environment.
2. Jordynn Dudley, Florida State
Fresh from one of the best debut seasons in college soccer history, Dudley takes the second position ahead of 2024. Missing the early part of the season for the U20 World Cup means the Georgia native may not reach her 14 goals and nine assists from last year, but that does nothing to slow the quality of one of the best transition threats college soccer has ever seen.
Aikey had an outstanding sophomore season with 11 goals and 12 assists to guide Stanford to the national final. Losing that game will provide plenty of motivation for Aikey as she enters the season looking to be the leader the Cardinals need for another legendary campaign.
4. Trinity Byars, Texas
The co-star to Missimo’s brilliance, Byars provides a remarkable two-footed finishing ability that few in college soccer can match. The Texas native is already the Longhorn record holder in career goals with 47 as another stellar 2024 campaign could see her cement her status as the top prospect in the NWSL draft.
5. Lyndsey Heckel, Saint Louis
The premier center back in college soccer, Heckel has an outstanding resume littered with honors, such as two All-American seasons and A10 Defensive Player of the Year recognition. The Billikens return a talented roster. and their graduate captain may be the catalyst to a record-breaking NCAA tournament run.
