Women's DI Preseason Top 100 revealed
The Women's Division I Top 100 players rankings are out today, in preparation for the start of the upcoming campaign.
Wisconsin midfielder and U.S. women's national team candidate Rose Lavelle begins the season at the top of the list, just ahead of West Virginia's defensive ace Kadeisha Buchanan.
With a number of top players unavailable for the 2016 season because of the U20 Women's World Cup, the players that won't compete this season aren't included in the primary rankings.
Stars like Savannah Jordan (Florida), Morgan Andrews (USC) and Andi Sullivan (Stanford) round out the top five, and each should figure significantly for three of the top teams in the upcoming season.
The list will receive updates midseason and postseason, with the top players also earning recognition on the preseason and postseason TDS Best XI teams.
