Women's DI Top 100 Freshman list revealed
The 2016 Freshman DI Women's Top 100 players to watch list is out for the first time this year, with UCLA midfielder Jessie Fleming topping the list.
Fleming's enjoyed a strong start to her college season, tied for the team lead in goals scored with seven, and playing at the level one would expect from a full international.
There is a long list of talent right behind Fleming, however. Florida State forward Deyna Castellanos checks in at the No. 2 spot, despite missing the past couple of weeks of action on duty with the Venezuelan U17 WNT at the World Cup.
Top U.S. talent lines up right behind that pair of overseas players. Tierna Davidson has the second most minutes of outfield players on Stanford, Ella Stevens leads Duke in goals scored and now starts at forward, while midfielder Taylor Kornieck has fired Colorado into Pac-12 contention.
