1. Lilly Reale, UCLA - The season may not be going according to plan for the Bruins, but that is no fault of Reale, who has led an outstanding defensive unit with twice as many clean sheets (10) as goals conceded (5). Whether displaying her outstanding passing range on a cross-field switch, her athleticism on a ball-carrying drive, or her elite defensive instincts on a timely interception, Reale is the best player in college soccer.
2. Emily Colton, Wake Forest - The Deacs have been one of the best stories this season, and Colton is at the core of it. She had a huge performance against Florida State last week, cemeting her side's status as College Cup contenders.
3. Ava Tankersley, Arkansas - The reigning SEC Forward of the Year has continued her dominance with eight goals and seven assists to lead Arkansas to a 9-1-1 record. With Tankersley leading, Arkansas has reached the No. 1 ranking in the top 25 and is considered a bonafide title contender.
4. Kaitlyn MacBean, Penn State - From one attacking star to another, MacBean joins the top five as one of the best goalscorers in college soccer. With 11 goals from 14 appearances, the Minnesota native has already set her career high for a single season and currently ranks fifth in the country.
5. Taylor Huff, Florida State - After taking more of a facilitatory role for the national champions last season with 14 assists, Huff has been asked to be more of a goal scorer this season and has answered the call. The senior midfielder leads the team in goals (8) and assists (5) and has often been the savior for the title contender.
