Women’s Soccer Opens A-10 Play With Scoreless Tie Against Saint Joseph’s
On a slightly chilly night that saw rain come in late, neither the Fordham Rams nor theSaint Joseph’s Hawks could find the back of the net, as the two teams played to a scoreless tie on Jack Coffey Field.
With the tie, Fordham moves to 5-4-2 on the year, 0-0-1 in the Atlantic 10, while Saint Joseph’s goes to 5-3-3 overall, 0-0-1 in the league.
The Hawks had the early scoring opportunities in the first ten minutes. The Hawks’ Jen Pfeiffer headed a shot off the crossbar just 3:35 into the contest, while a header for Mo Hawkins drifted right of goal.
Pfeiffer was again denied by the crossbar in the 23rd minute, the second of her game-high five shots toward goal.

Suther then came up with the save of the game in the 63rd minute, when Pfeiffer went in on a breakaway and was stopped by Suther toward the left side of goal.
