Women's Team of The Week: November 15
Caroline DeLisle guessed early, diving to her right. And the UCF goalie was correct in her decision, parrying away an NC State penalty to give her team a chance to advance to the NCAA second round. Darya Rajaee dutifully tucked away the winning penalty kick, but it was DeLisle who played hero, producing two massive saves in the shootout.
The two-time AAC goalkeeper of the year has lifted her side to big results before. But no performance was more important than hers last weekend. And no player was more valuable to their team last week, either.
