Women's Team of The Week: October 11
Once Korbin Albert got a step on her marker, everything else seemed inevitable. She pushed the ball ahead, scampering down the pitch, well away from two trailing Florida State defenders. And she made no mistake on her ensuing finish, slotting the ball past a helpless keeper. The goal gave Notre Dame an early lead over the Seminoles and set the tone for a 4-0 thrashing of the reigning national champions. For Albert, it was a continuation of a strong week, one where the sophomore midfielder scored three goals to help the Risih to two massive wins. Her ability to deliver in such big moments makes her our player of the week.
