Women's Team of The Week: October 25
In truth, Lauren DeBeau didn’t need to score against Rutgers. It was the 85th minute, and her Michigan State side had already wrapped up the Big Ten regular season title. Any other points were bonuses.
DeBeau earned Michigan State all three. The forward smacked the ball into the top corner from 30 yards out, sealing an 8th straight conference win to cap off the regular season. It was a fitting end ot an excellent week for the senior. She scored twice — both game winners — to help Michigan State go undefeated in conference play. She now has 10 goals on the season and there could be more to come.
