Ryleigh Anslinger, Forward, Indiana Fire Juniors/Evansville Memorial
Class: 2021
Commitment: Indiana
Hailing from Southern Indiana, Ryleigh Anslinger’s emerged as one of the top players in the region in high school.
She picked up a slew of honors, from All Region Team, First-Team All-State award and the All Metro Player of the Year from the Evansville Courier & Press, a local media outlet covering high school sports, as a junior. Recently, she was named her the City Player of the Year, scoring 28 goals and adding 16 assists. Memorial won Class 3A sectional championship.
After previously committing to stay close to home and play for Evansville, she made the decision to commit to Indiana for the class of 2021.
“I chose Indiana because I have always dreamed of playing there, since I am from Indiana,” Anslinger told TopDrawerSoccer.
One of the best attacking players in state over the past three seasons in high school, she scored 82 goals and setup 43 more. Her drive and determination to win the sectional crown saw her score a hat trick in a 6-1 win.
At Memorial, Anslinger has also played basketball, and on the club circuit, plays for Indiana Fire Juniors South Soccer Club. There were several factors about the soccer team that caught her eye.
“Their soccer program is very successful and I love how they coach,” Anslinger said. “I really like their coaches.”
Six players have committed to join Indiana for the class of 2021.
