HS: Fall SIMA FAB 50, Nov. 15
St. Ignatius (Cleveland, Ohio) set a state record with three straight large school state titles, and in doing so added another SIMA FAB 50 national title to its collection.
The Wildcats, now undefeated in 59 straight matches, finishes atop the rankings for the third time (2005, 2010, 2016). Only St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, N.J.) has more FAB 50 titles -- seven. St. Ignatius and St. Benedict's have combined to finish No. 1 six of the last seven years, and private schools have topped the charts every season since 2008.

BIG MOVERS: BOYS: Christian Brothers College (St. Louis, Mo.). CBC jumped from No. 48 to No. 29 after defeating Rockhurst Jesuit (Kansas City, Mo.) in a state final pitting two of the state's storied programs. CBC defeated Rockhurst in PKs to win both the Gateway City Soccer Classic Group A title and now the state title. In between, Rockhurst won a regular season contest. Rockhurst and CBC started the year ranked 1-2 in Missouri, and they ended up being the last two Class 4 teams remaining after each team played 30 matches. ... GIRLS: Wall Township (Wall, N.J.). Wall moves from No. 28 to No. 17 this week as it enters the state semifinals. Back-to-back wins will justify a lofty national ranking, but anything short of a title will reposition Wall behind the teams to which it lost.
NEWCOMERS: BOYS: No. 32 Lakeridge (Lake Oswego, Ore.), No. 45 Delbarton School (Morristown, N.J.), No. 47 La Cueva (Albuquerque, N.M.), No. 48 Broomfield (Colo.) and No. 49 Somers (Lincolndale, N.Y.). ... GIRLS: No. 21 Livingston (N.J.), No. 35 Monroe-Woodbury (Central Valley, N.Y.), No. 41 Arbor View (Las Vegas, Nev.), No. 44 Ridge (Basking Ridge, N.J.), No. 46 Ridgefield (Conn.), No. 47 Walter Johnson (Bethesda, Md.), No. 48 West Valley (Yakima, Wash.) and No. 49 St. Joseph (Trumbull, Conn.).
