HS: Final 2018 Fall FAB 50 rankings
There was little to settle at the top of the FAB 50 rankings this week.
Still, a pair of New Jersey public school powers etched themselves among the nation's elite.
Holmdel (N.J.) boys repeated as state champions to finished No. 6 in the boys FAB 50, while Northern Highlands (Allendale, N.J.) girls returned to the throne after a four-year hiatus to lock down the girls FAB 50 No. 5 spot. All teams ranked higher this season were already finished heading into the final week of high school play.
The final FAB 50 rankings saw some slight changes to better reflect the onfield results this season.
In the boys rankings, five new teams join the FAB 50 -- three state champions from upset-filled Pennsylvania -- to finish out the year among the nation's best. On the girls side, Wachusett (Holden, Mass.) and Ridgefield (Conn.) repeated as their states' large school champion and leaped from the regional rankings into the Top 25.
Now on with the rankings ...
